Still The One!
One of the first Aquatic Trash Barriers in Florida! It was part of our PROJECT WATERGOAT initiative almost 25 years ago. (Location St. Petersburg Fl. / BayBoro Harbor). We invented, developed, donated, installed and maintained the first two barriers - preventing over 100 documented tons of litter from entering Tampa Bay.
We are the proud Originator!
Aquatic Barriers can now be built onsite, very inexpensively in hours, but require much maintenance. Now large organizations are collecting extremely large amounts of funding for the 'Study' of waterborne litter.
Perhaps the existing 240 Aquatic Barriers did not provide enough data?
Maybe that’s why Grants/monies for legitimate sea-worthy projects are drying up.

Billion$ allocated, gifted to the so-called large 'Non Profits' over the decades and this remains our situation in every direction.
Many are aware that it’s the small, unassuming orgs/vols doing the work without big paychecks.
Corporations, Municipalities, Citizens are fed up and deserve a cleaner, healthier environment.

Friends In Faraway Places!
Met these happy folks many years ago. They were busy developing ‘Aquatic Trash Barriers' - with hopes of installing the now famous 'SAMPAH SNAGGERS' throughout Malaysia. Their large organization is called 'WATER WARRIORS' and they operate within the university/gov systems.
Aquatic Trash Barriers are being implemented worldwide as they are extremely inexpensive, provide data/education and can be built, deployed within hours. The only challenge is forever maintenance, so it’s perfect for communities or schools.
It’s all about preventing Trashola from entering BIGWATER.

Just in time for SPRING BREAK!
Yup, this is FLORIDA.
With recent Spring rains, the waterways are filled with trash. 'Aquatic Barriers' remain the last line of hope before the litter enters the Gulf/Atlantic. We installed this barrier 5 years ago and it’s been capturing trash with each rain.
‘Aquatic Barriers' are inexpensive, can be built - installed in hours with the only challenge being (Forever Maintenance).

The next generation of ‘Aquatic Litter Barriers' are being deployed throughout the SouthEast. The old, cumbersome netting systems are being replaced with our submerged Cable/Chain design. No more twisted entanglements after each storm. Most importantly, our new design will allow for fish migration in shallow streams.
We provide our proprietary EARTH BUOYS (Freshwater) & JETTY KINGS (Saltwater) at $0 cost to our contracted clients. We offer maintenance to commerce centers, office parks, industrial hubs and ports.

This is Florida!
After decades and Billions in tax payer grants and corporate donations, the large environmental NonProfits are still unable to stop the trash flow.
States/Municipalities are required to prevent trash from entering waterways (NPDES). Many counties allocate monies to large local NP’s who gather data from smaller, hardworking groups.

Maybe it’s time to channel funds towards commercial waste removal companies?

Since early 2023 we’ve had the privilege of installing 14 ‘Aquatic Litter Barriers' here in Florida. It’s only significant because that brings our total installations to 262 since 04’. … So get this, there are still well funded organizations “studying the origins of waterway trash”. Perhaps monies would be better spent on programs that move us forward with aggressive educational outreach? U.S. EPA South Central Region NOAA Marine Debris There are a myriad unpaid volunteers who remove trash daily from our ponds, lakes and canals - they are all experts on point of origin.

Sargassum Algae can present many challenges to Ecosystems, Ports, Marinas, Canals and Swim Zones.
