PROPERTY TAXES 2026 - Please Read

Good morning. Everyone should be receiving their Notice of Proposed Property Taxes and Proposed or Adopted Non-Ad Valorem Assessments in the mail this week. Your new property valuation is on the back of the form and this is the number your taxes are based upon. If you feel this value is wrong you can call the property appraiser at 305-292-3420 and ask for an adjustment. If they can not resolve it you can file a petition for adjustment with the Value Adjustment Board. The form for this is online at www.mcpafl.org and must be filed by the date on the back of your form which for most people will be early September. If you would like some comparable sales to help you with your valuation please feel free to give me a call at 305-797-1221 or email me at [email protected].

Also please check to make sure any exemptions you may qualify for are listed on the form such as Homestead Exemption, Widow Exemption, low-income Senior Exemption and Disabled Veteran Exemption.
