Attention Home Buyers! Big Changes Starting Today!
*️⃣ If you’re looking to buy a new home, new rules after the NAR settlement will affect how agent commissions are handled. This goes into effect today, August 17, 2024. This applies to ALL Realtors and buyers...NATIONWIDE.
*️⃣ Buyers MUST sign a detailed agreement with an agent before they can be shown any properties. This agreement outlines services and duties provided, and the agent’s compensation.
*️⃣ Commissions will still be negotiable like they always have been, but may be achieved differently. Sellers will no longer cover the buyer’s agent's commission through a blanket offer on MLS listings. However, sellers can still choose to negotiate and cover these fees, but there is no expectation to do so.
