How lucky am I to still have you here to celebrate another year? I don’t take that blessing for granted.
Year after year, you have given me so much more than love. You have given me guidance, wisdom, strength, and an example of the kind of person I want to be. So much of who I am today has been shaped by your mentorship, your encouragement, and simply watching the way you have lived your life. I will forever be grateful to be your daughter.
At 81, you continue to be someone I admire, look up to, and learn from. The older I get, the more I realize just how precious these years, these moments, and these memories truly are. I love you so much, Dad, and I pray we are blessed with many more birthdays together. ❤️🎂
Your birthday also falls on a day that carries tremendous sadness for our country. Today, we remember September 11, 2001 — the innocent lives lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the incredible bravery and sacrifice of so many.
It is a powerful reminder that life can change in an instant, that tomorrow is never promised, and that we should never miss an opportunity to tell the people we love just how much they mean to us.
So today, I celebrate my Dad with an especially grateful heart, while remembering and honoring all the souls we lost on 9/11.
