Wow wow wow. This one was unique to say the least! After getting our back-up contract accepted we got straight to it. With 15 days to close, everyday was met with urgency and efficiency. Up until 3 days before closing day everything was moving accordingly then boom, lender got cold feet. This was probably the scariest moment of it all and I was put in a bind. Do I give in or give up? Took me all of 3 seconds to remind myself it’s not over till it’s over and got to work. What was expected to take months of getting build lines on the property removed took me about 2 days to get more than half of the process completed. We switched lenders 2 days later and were thankfully granted another 15 days to close. And we did just that! Huge thank you to my buyer for trusting me, to the sellers agent for her un-movable spirit, to the seller for his patience and trust and to our lender for pulling this together. I’ve learned more about property restrictions and deed amendments than I ever expected to lol. This one has been a journey but the destination was beyond worth it!
