This June marks the 10th year in my real estate career. If you ask me how was the contract documentations looked like 10 years ago, i wont be able to remember. Even if you ask me about a couple years ago how these looked like, i still wont be able to answer even i've used them hundreds time.
The reason is that our contract forms are changing all the time; add something, take out something, modify something every couple years or so. But in just the last 2 years alone, our contract forms and other documentations have undergone a few times of changing. It happened so rapidly that i lost count how many times was changed during this short period.
Well here's another change coming, a big one. This June 15 and July 1, many of our Texas Realtors' forms and Texas Real Estate Commission's forms is changing enormously. This means a bunch of trainings we will have to take to stay informed and competent in what we do to help our clients.
How much it would surprised me for there were a few times i ran into someone who told me "I've bought and sold a couple houses before, so i know about real estate ok."
