I think one of the biggest mistakes buyers make is chasing perfection 👀 It’s something we see all the time.

Trust me, I know being a perfectionist is hard… We want the perfect house, the perfect inspection, and an answer to every single question. But the truth is perfection doesn’t exist.

Especially with older homes, there isn’t a file somewhere documenting every repair, upgrade, or project that’s happened over the last 10, 20 or 50 years. We work hard to evaluate the home’s current condition, review what the sellers know, and use inspections to learn as much as possible but there will almost always be some unknowns.

Buying a home isn’t about eliminating every risk. It’s about understanding the home that’s in front of you and deciding if it’s the right one for your life.

Being a working parent, it’s hard being away from our kids for so much of their day. That’s one of the reasons I love volunteering at their school 💛

I get to know the people who are helping shape, guide, teach, encourage, and love on my kids every single day. And honestly? Teachers and school staff deserve so much more appreciation than they get. 😅 The patience, energy, and heart it takes to spend all day in a classroom with little humans is something I will never take for granted.

Volunteering gives me a small glimpse into my kids’ world when I can’t be there, and it reminds me how important schools are to the community. They help raise our children right alongside us, and I want to be part of supporting that village however I can 📚
