Realtors, here’s another scam to look out for!! I had someone inquire about a listing through HAR (learning most of those are scams), and he had asked to meet on Zoom because they were moving from out of state. I’m usually skeptical of people who want to meet via Google meet or Zoom due to being scammed in the past, but his story was very convincing and I did not want to write off virtual meetings due to people moving from out of state. Usually when a virtual scam is happening, they persist on you using their link.
This bot or person was completely fine using my link and had confirmed the meeting multiple times until the actual meeting had started and they sent me an AI photo saying they were getting an error message. At that point, I of course, knew it was a scam and decided to end the meeting there. To which, they then persisted I join their link. Be aware yall, their stories are getting pretty good. 🥲
I will no longer do virtual meetings due to people like this, out of state clients will be done on a phone call instead!
