Closing on 14250 Laffite wasn’t the easiest road to the finish line.
From the beginning, my client kept asking a question so many people quietly wonder: “Is homeownership even possible for me?”
We were navigating concerns about the down payment, monthly budget, and the added layers that come with variable income and lender documentation. Every piece of the file had to be handled strategically.
On top of that, technology became another hurdle. From uploading documents to navigating lender apps and digital paperwork, even simple steps became frustrating at times. In today’s market, so much of the process happens online, and I knew part of my job was making sure they never felt left behind or overwhelmed by it.
Then came the phone call no one wants during escrow:
A new line of credit had been opened mid-process.
Even with a $0 balance, that can immediately trigger lender concerns and put a closing at risk.
That’s why I constantly remind my clients:
Consistency matters when you’re under contract.
No new credit cards. No large purchases. No sudden financial changes.
We had to move quickly, work through additional verification, and keep the deal together step by step. But watching them finally sit at that closing table made every obstacle worth it.
Moments like this are why I love what I do. Real estate isn’t just contracts and keys. It’s helping people work through uncertainty, building confidence, and helping them move into the next chapter of their lives.
So grateful I got to help this household find their way home. 🤍
