Take this time to put together a “Go Bag” that includes important documents like insurance cards and Social Security cards. Keep copies of these documents in a waterproof container or digital image saved online.

Additionally, creating a home inventory makes it easier to file a claim in the event of a disaster.

Today marks my first day as a full-time real estate agent. 🎉

For the past 3 years, I’ve balanced two careers simultaneously: college professor and REALTOR®. Before that, I spent 10 years as a professor and another 10 years in scientific research.

While this career shift may seem like a departure, I’ve come to realize that the skills developed throughout those years translate directly into real estate. Research taught me how to analyze data, solve complex problems, and pay attention to details. Teaching taught me how to educate, communicate clearly, and advocate for others. Real estate allows me to bring all of those experiences together in service of my clients.
