Y'all, I finally did it! It might surprise you to know that I haven't done this yet, but I FINALLY got to sell a Civic Type R! These thrilling masterpieces of the automotive industry are so hard to keep in stock. This one in particular is probably one of the rarest ones I've seen because it's a first year 6th Generation FL5, a 2023 model, with LESS THAN 1,000 MILES ON IT! If you wanted a brand new Type R but couldn't afford a brand new one or couldn't justify the expense, THIS was the perfect solution. I've sold brand new cars with more miles than this one had.

The 5th Generation Type R, the FK8, was the first Type R to be officially sold in the United States and was released back in 2017. It was a fantastic mechanical wonder, but was received with mixed reviews because the majority of people thought it looked too aggressive for what it was, especially on the back end with some pretty wild styling going on back there 🤣.

But the FL5, released in 2022 for the 2023 model year, was released to a much more receptive audience. It better balanced its aggressive character design and gave it a more mature look. It thankfully kept the gigantic spoiler, but made it a bit more reasonable. It also retained the iconic red H-Badge on the front, back, on the steering wheel, and even on the key fob. The red H-Badge first debuted on the 1992 NSX Type R and has been an exclusive badge for all Civic Type R generations to this day, serving as a representation of Honda's racing lineage.

So, I'm elated to congratulate Mr. Mendoza for purchasing this 2023 Honda Civic Type R from me yesterday up here at Sam Boswell Honda!
