The City of Dalhart & City Council is proud to host 9/11 Never Forget Mobile exhibit for the grand opening of the new Dalhart Emergency Responce Center. Tours of the new facility and 9/11 mobile exhibit will begin March 27th with school tours then opening to the general public on Friday the 28th and 29th. A ceremony will take place Saturday morning at 11 followed by tours.

Build a Home Emergency Kit
Customers are encouraged to be prepared for an electric outage by keeping phones and other devices
charged and building an outage kit with items that do not require electricity, including:
• Battery-powered radio
• Flashlights
• Batteries
• Backup phone chargers
• A phone that does not require electricity
• Non-electric alarm clock
• Bottled water and non-perishable food
• Manual can opener
• First aid kit
• Extension cords (for partial outages)
• Manufacturer’s instructions on how to manually open power-operated doors (e.g. garage doors)
• Xcel Energy phone numbers – (800) 895-4999 for residential or (800) 481-4700 for business
As an important reminder to customers who have medical equipment that relies on electric service,
please take steps to prepare a backup power supply in case outages do occur. We are contacting known

There's no two ways about it, it's gonna be *a bit* cold for much of this week, especially during the overnight into morning hours Tuesday - Thursday. Air temperatures in the single digits to negatives, combined with any wind will make temperatures feel markedly colder each morning. Be sure to take all necessary actions to keep yourself, your pets, and your property safe this week!
