Trevor and I spent Sunday biking all through Lakewood, and every time we do this, we’re reminded why people fall in love with this neighborhood. The mature trees, the architecture, White Rock Lake just around the corner… it’s pretty perfect.

Yes, Lakewood has gotten more expensive over the last few years, but I actually think there are some incredible opportunities right now. I pulled together a few of my favorite homes that have been sitting on the market a little longer than expected. Sometimes those are the ones worth taking a second look at.

While half of Dallas is out of town, it can be a surprisingly smart time to buy. Less competition often means more room to negotiate and a better chance to land an amazing home. And despite a few listings lingering, Lakewood remains one of Dallas’ most competitive neighborhoods overall!
