We continue to celebrate Black-owned businesses in the cities and neighborhoods that impact our residents. Today, we celebrate three businesses that are near two of our communities in . Just a quick drive from The Fairway at Bellevue and Bellevue at Pecan Grove, these bring delicious food, sweet snacks, and home maintenance services to our communities. Scroll through to learn more about each of the businesses we are spotlighting.

Queen Sugar Bakery is your one-stop shop for delicious, sweet treats. You will surely want more after one bite. Our favorite is their made from scratch sugar cookies with delightful fondant.

Koolcupsllc is a small business that offers shaved ice and will certainly KOOL you down in the heat of a Houston summer. Everybody loves the cherry flavored topped with nerds and sour candy. Visit them at their store or schedule them for an event.

BLCK Market (BLCK Market Retail ) is a city treasure with over 50 vendors and thousands of attendees at each market. BLCK Market started an online store in 2020 and opened their brick-and-mortar store in 2021 at the .

Jaquay’s Chicken & Waffles (Jaquay's Chicken & Waffles) is a small family owned and operated, southern restaurant specializing in Chicken and Waffles. Located in , Jaquay’s also serves dirty rice and fried okra. Our personal favorite is the banana pudding.
