What a pleasure it was to meet former Dallas Mayor Steve Bartlett today.
Steve served as Mayor of Dallas beginning in 1991—a year that was a pivotal time in my own life—and listening to him today brought back memories of a Texas and an America that, in many ways, feel very far removed from where we are now.
Steve Bartlett is a strong Republican, and he is also an example of the kind of Republican leader I have always been able to admire and appreciate. He is grounded. His character, ethics, intelligence, and respect for public service are evident. At a time when those qualities can feel increasingly absent from our political life, I was reminded today of how much they matter—and how much we lose when character and integrity become secondary to politics.
One of my favorite parts of the conversation was hearing Steve speak about his discussions and experiences with Governor Ann Richards. I grew up in Texas when Ann Richards was governor, and I remember her with tremendous fondness. The warmth and candor with which Steve—a Republican—spoke about Ann—a Democrat—was especially meaningful to me.
There was something hopeful in hearing that two people could disagree politically and still recognize the humanity, wit, intelligence, and worth in one another. It reminded me of an energy I deeply miss—not just about being a Texan, but about being an American.
We do not have to agree on everything to respect one another. We do not have to belong to the same political party to recognize character when we see it. And we should never allow politics to rob us of our ability to admire decency, integrity, humor, and genuine public service.
I left today feeling unexpectedly hopeful—and with a little more love in my heart for the Texas I remember.
I also came home with Steve Bartlett’s book, The Power of Purpose, which I very much look forward to reading.
Thank you, Steve Bartlett, for spending time with us today at the Lions Club, for sharing your stories so candidly, and for reminding me that principled leadership and mutual respect do not have to belong to one political party—or to the past.

I study the market every single day.
I have multiple custom searches set up in my target areas so I can track what’s hitting the market, how quickly homes are moving, and where the best opportunities are. That daily habit gives me a clear picture of what’s really happening—not just what the headlines say.
Here’s what I’m seeing: there are investor-friendly opportunities on the MLS right now that simply didn’t exist in 2020, 2021, or even much of 2022. It’s a completely different market.
There are homes currently listed well below the prices they likely would have sold for during the frenzy of just a few years ago, when multiple offers routinely pushed prices even higher.
I think a lot of buyers are sitting on the sidelines because they believe it’s a bad time to buy. In many cases, the opposite is true. Today’s market gives buyers room to negotiate, find better deals, and take advantage of financing options that weren’t available when competition was at its peak.
For example, I know of a program that can provide a 5% interest rate for the first year, 6% for the second year, and even includes a free refinance when the time is right. That’s just one example of how creative financing can make owning a home much more affordable than many people realize.
In some cases, you may even be able to buy a home for a monthly payment that’s comparable to what many people are paying for a condo.
The best thing you can do right now is get your home search set up. Watch the market. Learn what opportunities are available. Start building your game plan before you’re ready to buy.
I’ll help you every step of the way.

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” — Leonardo da Vinci
There’s a quiet kind of luxury that has nothing to do with price tags… and everything to do with how a space feels.
It’s the way fresh lilies fill a room with a soft, natural fragrance.
It’s the texture of a well-loved rug underfoot.
It’s a collected piece of pottery that holds something beautiful—without trying too hard.
This is what I love most about what I do. Helping people assemble a vibe—not just decorate a house. Because true luxury isn’t about excess… it’s about intention. It’s knowing how to shape your environment so it gives something back to you every single day—calm, inspiration, comfort, presence.
And if you’re feeling overwhelmed trying to create that sense of home… you’re not alone. Sometimes it just takes the right perspective—and the right strategy—to bring it all together.

Whether you’re refining your space, preparing your home to sell, or simply looking for ways to reduce clutter and create clarity—the details matter. And they don’t have to be extravagant to be extraordinary.
✨ Luxury is not a logo—it’s a feeling you create.
If you’re ready to reimagine your space—or need a clear, strategic plan to move forward…

This pocket of Dallas has always been the connector—where Uptown energy meets timeless neighborhood roots. I’ve lived it, worked it, and watched it evolve into one of the most sought-after locations in the city.
Walkable. Layered. Undeniably magnetic.
