Built in 1888 by brothers Robert and Stephen Munger, CGB was once the largest manufacturer of cotton gins in the United States. This success helped spur the development of Deep Ellum and much of East Dallas including Robert Mungerβs development of Munger Place and Swiss Avenue.
What began as the epicenter of innovation of its time, CGB continues to impact the community nearly 137 years later as a hub for entreprenuers and home to a number of pioneering companies such and , recipient of Dallasβ first and only Michelin Star βοΈ.
The Continental Gin Building is certified LEED Gold, a local and national historic landmark, the oldest building in Deep Ellum and one of the oldest still standing in Dallas.
