Understanding Income Limits for Affordable 55+ Housing
One of the most common questions we receive is, "How do income limits work?"
At Nolen Grand, at least one member of the household must be age 55 or older, and all residents must meet income qualifications established through affordable housing guidelines.
Income limits are based on both household size and total household income. Household income includes wages, Social Security benefits, pensions, retirement income, disability benefits, interest, dividends, and other sources of income received by household members.
Current maximum household income limits are:
• 1 Person: $52,260
• 2 People: $59,700
• 3 People: $67,140
• 4 People: $74,580
• 5 People: $80,580
Many seniors are surprised to learn they may qualify. Retirement income, Social Security, and pension benefits are considered during the qualification process, and eligibility varies based on each household's unique circumstances.
If you've been searching for an affordable 55+ apartment community in Dallas but aren't sure whether you qualify, our team is happy to answer questions and explain the process. Understanding the income guidelines is often the first step toward finding a comfortable, affordable home designed for active adults.
