Feels like just yesterday that this year’s Real Estate Bootcamp was starting up. On Tuesday, the program will end with a case competition!

Our participants will put together everything they’ve learned over the last month – market and site feasibility, financial feasibility, financing, and project success – into presentations that will resemble real-world project plans.

We’re really proud of how far they’ve come in such a short time and look forward to hearing their pitches.

Construction on our 2025 TREC Dallas Young Guns Project at the Dallas ISD Paul L. Dunbar Learning Center is heating up!

The team is renovating and modernizing the STEM lab at the school, which serves approximately 600 K-5 students, and adding amenities for art – making it a STEAM lab.

Our members held a volunteer workday last month in hopes of finishing the project before the 2026-27 school year begins.

We kicked off the 2026 Real Estate Bootcamp program on Tuesday!

Our opening session featured a high-level overview of the development process, which we’ll delve into with more depth over the next few weeks.

Participants got a better understanding of the services we provide at TREC Community Investors and met with officials from the City of Dallas - City Hall’ Planning & Development Department, Office of Economic Development, and Office of Housing & Community Empowerment.

Our 2025 TREC Dallas Guns project team met with students at the Dallas ISD Paul L. Dunbar Learning Center on Friday to talk about their forthcoming STEAM lab!

The project, a renovation of an existing lab space, is the first of two Dallas Catalyst Project: Mill City collaborations our Young Guns are taking on with the school.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the STEAM lab is tentatively being planned for August.

Last week, members of the ALC Class of 2026 held a volunteer event at the Braswell Child Development Center in Mill City, handing out popsicles to children and candles to teachers and administrators.

The center offers educational programs for infants, toddlers, and students of all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

ALC class members are partnering with Braswell on their community investment project benefiting Dallas Catalyst Project: Mill City. More details coming soon.

We recently connected our friends at Invesco US with our friends at Cornerstone Baptist Church of Dallas TX for a volunteer day with the church’s clothing closet and community kitchen! Always great to bring TREC Dallas in to help serve the community!

Check out these renderings of the forthcoming STEAM lab at the Dallas ISD Paul L. Dunbar Learning Center!

Our 2025 TREC Dallas Young Guns team is making waves with their community investment project to reimagine this space with a new workbench area, media entertainment wall, electronic capabilities, hallway art, and acoustic ceiling tiles.

The project received a $52,000 TREC Community Investors grant stemming from last year’s Young Guns Casino Night, as well as $30,000 from the nonprofit Tackle Tomorrow Foundation Tomorrow and the global IT solutions provider Veritis Group Inc.

The team is planning a volunteer event in mid May and a midsummer ribbon-cutting ceremony. Registration information coming soon.

The new STEAM lab is the first of two Young Guns projects within the elementary school, with the latter a renovation to its playground area that will begin later this year. Both projects are being completed as part of Dallas Catalyst Project: Mill City.
