1. Multiple window banks.
2. A casual collected kitchen look: less-polished approach with softer paint colors, raw wood tones, and a mix of cabinet fronts and styles is predicted to rise.
3. Long and linear backsplash tile for a more modern twist.
4. Hardworking storage.
5. Multiple showerheads and sprays.
6. Stylish design for aging in place: These days, universal design prioritizes products and features that look as good as they are functional.
7. Heated bathroom floors.
8. Desirable sustainability and efficiency: High-performance windows and solar panels help homeowners reduce energy use, while native trees and grasses can help create water-efficient landscapes.
9. Outdoor living rooms that look like indoor rooms.
10. Outdoor privacy: Many homeowners are hiring landscape pros for screens, fences, plantings, and other strategies that help create intimate spaces and separation from neighbors, or block an undesirable view.

What Should You Know Before Starting a Bathroom Renovation? Check out these tips from remodelista.com:
1. Don't make the mistake of assuming that your contractor and you are on the same page. Be clear in stating out every detail of the plan, and double-check that the right bathroom has been determined and agreed upon.
2. According to the National Kitchen and Bath Association, your bathroom renovation should cost no more than 5 to 10% of the value of your home: in 2016, the average cost of a bathroom redesign was $11,364.
3. You might be tempted to add a stunning freestanding bath to your bathroom. However, it may not be the most practical option in the long run.
4. Lighting takes careful consideration and placement because bathrooms are often small, gloomy, and loaded with mirrors (complicating how light bounces around),
5. Don't forget to include outlets that are easily accessible.
6. When it comes to tile, keep in mind a few different varieties. Porcelain, glass, natural stone, cement, and, of course, subway tile are the sorts of tile that are particularly tough, long-wearing, and ageless in the bathroom—in shower stalls, on floors, and on walls.
7. Grout might be an unappealing aspect of the bathroom, but it’s hugely important.
8. Toilets aren't one-size-fits-all: if you have a small space, a petite toilet is a good option. Alternatively, you can go for a conventional or modern floor-standing toilet, a water-saving toilet, or a wall-mounted toilet.
9. When drafting up your designs, look for storage opportunities—even small, simple ones—to make them appear integrated rather than added-on.
10. You might not have to demo everything and start fresh.

Outdoor house renovations provided the highest return on investment (ROI) in a recently released 2021 Cost vs. Value analysis from Zonda Media, a housing industry research and analytics organization. Garage door replacements, according to Zonda Media, provide the best return on investment.
Replacing either the asphalt single or metal roof achieves a ROI of 56% to 60%; bathroom remodels or additions generate 60.1% to 53.1%; and master suite expansions generate between 47.4% and 53.9%. Major kitchen remodels generate 53.9% .

1. It is very costly to renovate your kitchen - Leave the kitchen layout alone to make a significant impact without spending a lot of money, and you won't have to relocate any major hook-ups.
2. Consider your culinary needs and who will be utilizing your kitchen when making renovation selections.
3. When picking your countertops, keep in mind who you want to be in your kitchen in the future. Marble or soapstone are good choices if you don't mind a material that needs to be maintained.
4. When it comes to faucets, you may be tempted to go with a typical deck-mounted style. It makes it easy to maintain the area surrounding your sink clean and dry once you install it.
5. Don’t forget to plan for proper ventilation and outlets.
6. There are numerous cabinet styles to choose from. Don't get bogged down by a wide range of options. A wave of new startups are hacking Ikea cabinets to create something affordable that nevertheless seems unique.
7. Opt for a double-bowl sink. You can divide and conquer dishes in a double-bowl sink, wash vegetables without getting them near filthy plates, and always have access to the disposal.
8. You can buy pre-owned appliances at a discounted price.
9. It's a good idea to double-check that what you got is exactly what you wanted, down to the color and finish; it’s important to catch this mistake before workers, who might not know it’s the wrong thing, install it.
10. It's possible that you won't need a complete renovation. There are many ways to make a significant impact with what you already have, such as painting your kitchen cabinets or just replacing out appliances or tile.

Consider some of the following home improvements to increase the value of your property:
• Kitchen Remodels: average cost of $75,000 that includes:
- Built-in microwave
- Dishwasher
- Custom lighting
** Cost Recoup: 57% or $43,000
- Garage Replacement: average cost of $4,000
** Cost Recoup: 75% or $3,000
- Stone Veneer: average cost of $10,400
** Cost Recoup: 92% of $6,600
- Minor Kitchen Remodel: average cost of $26,500
** Cost recoup: 72% or $19,000
- Sliding Replacement: average cost of $20,000
** Cost Recoup: 69% or $13,000
Even if home renovations don't increase the home's value, the IRS enables homeowners to deduct capital improvements when the house sells. Similarly, if you refinance your home after making modifications, it would most likely appraise at a higher rate than when you first bought it. For the homeowner, this new refinance valuation could result in a rise in home equity and a reduced loan-to-value ratio.

Here are some ways to save on your home remodel:
1. Increase Efficiency, Not Size - You may not need to knock down walls to maximize square footage if you can reorganize and equip your kitchen for maximum utility.
2. Consider less invasive—and less expensive—methods of catching light before making a large hole in the side of your house and changing the framework.
3. Do-it-yourselfers can save a lot of money by using recycled or lightly used fixtures and construction materials.
4. Although demolishing your home is less expensive than reconstructing, you can save money by conducting some of the demolition yourself—as long as you do with caution.
5. Make Sweat Equity Count - Unless you have a lot of time (and experience) to devote to your project, the best approach to put in sweat equity is to do some of the finishing work yourself, either up front or at the end.
6. Pick up materials yourself if you're undertaking your own project to save money on delivery expenses.
7. If at all possible, avoid moving the kitchen sink or the toilet. This Old House plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey explains, "That often becomes the major component of the plumbing-price rise."
8. Tap Your Contractor's Sources - Ask your subcontractor if he has any odd-and-ends merchandise left over from previous tasks when it comes to things like flooring.
9. Consult an Architect - You may be able to benefit from an architect's design expertise by hiring him for a one-time design consultation.
10. Collaborate with a contractor- On an hourly basis, some contractors will provide coaching and mentoring services to skilled do-it-yourselfers.

The are quickly approaching, and many homeowners are planning to renovate their houses to make them more festive.
1.) Renovation Timeline - make sure that you leave enough time for any unexpected delays.
2.) Scope of your renovation project - Although most renovations are very simple and entail painting walls or replacing flooring, if you're dealing with a more significant issue such as foundation damage, it may take longer than planned.
3.) Make plan for any materials or equipment that is needed for installation so there aren't any delays in completing your work.
4.) How much time needed to complete the project - there are increased chances for delays if any renovations demand a considerable quantity of work in a short period of time.
5.) Stay Organized - Create daily or weekly checklists if at all possible to keep track of what needs to be done next.
6.) Paint - If your renovations are seasonal, you may want to choose a different color than someone who lives in a climate with little temperature variation.
7.) Flooring - If you'll be hosting huge groups over the holidays, you might want to go with something more durable than carpet.
8.) Type of appliances - If you'll be entertaining large groups over the holidays, a refrigerator with greater storage space and no ice trays might be a better option.
9.) Decorations - If it's hot outside during the holidays, for example, don't use heat-producing lighting such as candles or lamps.
10.) Entertainment - Consider whether additional furniture is required in each space and how much time it will take to move things around before visitors arrive.
