Experience gorgeous views from your own private piece of paradise in beautiful St Thomas, the US Virgin Islands. One bedroom, one bathroom and a full kitchen. Your cottage is surrounded by lush tropical plants & a short walk to Hull Bay Beach. PRIVATE tiki bar, pool, cabana, TV, outdoor sink, BBQ grill, pizza oven & fridge. Upstairs enjoy dining/lounging on your private balcony while watching the

* We have an additional 1 bedroom (queen bed) with newly renovated full size bathroom available. (only with rental of cottage) for an additional $100/night plus $50 cleaning fee. Max 2 guests in bedroom.
* Reservations are confirmed when security deposit is received.
* Check-in: 3:00pm Check-out: 11:00am
* Security deposit is refunded within 3 days of check-out and inspection.
* Full payment is due 30 days before check-in date.

🚙🌴 ISLAND TRIVIA TIME! 🌴🚙

One of the first things visitors notice when they arrive in St. Thomas is…

“WAIT! Why is everyone driving on the LEFT side of the road?!” 😳

It’s one of the most common questions we get from guests at Two Tickets to Paradise Cottage!

Here’s the interesting part: Although the U.S. Virgin Islands are part of the United States, we drive on the left because of our Danish history. 🇩🇰

The islands were owned by Denmark for nearly 250 years before being purchased by the United States in 1917. Long before the American flag flew here, islanders were already driving and traveling on the left side, and that tradition stuck!

Now for the really fun part…

Most vehicles in St. Thomas are imported from the mainland U.S., which means the steering wheel is on the LEFT side of the vehicle while we drive on the LEFT side of the road. 🚗😂

So yes, your first day on island might feel a little like a real-life driving adventure!

Don’t worry though—we provide our guests with plenty of local driving tips, and after a day or two you’ll be cruising the island like a local.

When most visitors think of St. Thomas beaches, they think of Magens Bay. But ask a local where they go to escape the crowds, and you’ll often hear one answer: Hull Bay.

Located on the beautiful Northside of St. Thomas, Hull Bay has long been a favorite spot for local fishermen, surfers, and island residents. Unlike many of the island’s postcard-perfect tourist beaches, Hull Bay has a rugged, authentic Caribbean charm all its own. Small fishing boats still dot the shoreline, giving visitors a glimpse into the island’s traditional fishing culture. (Wikipedia⁠)

During the winter months, when North Atlantic swells roll in, Hull Bay becomes the premier surfing destination on St. Thomas. It’s one of the few places on the island where you’ll regularly see surfers catching waves. One of my favorite things about Hull Bay? It still feels like the St. Thomas locals have loved for generations. No cruise ship crowds. No fancy beach clubs. Just beautiful blue water, fishing boats, salty air, and island life.

And the best part? Hull Bay is the closest beach to Two Tickets to Paradise Cottage! It’s just a quick drive away and the perfect spot to experience St. Thomas like a local. 🌴

🚨🍹 A Very Sad Day at Red’s Rum Roost 🍹🚨

After just 5 short years, our beloved refrigerator has officially sailed off into the sunset. 💔

The good news? We have a shiny new refrigerator keeping the rum cold and the cocktails flowing. 🍹😎

The bad news? We lost years of memories, stickers, and stories that covered the old fridge. Every sticker represented a guest, a friend, a business, a brewery, a distillery, or an adventure. Looking at that bare new refrigerator just isn’t the same.

🌴❤️ CHECK-IN DAY AT PARADISE ❤️🌴

Today is a special day at Two Tickets to Paradise Cottage as we welcome a sweet couple celebrating their honeymoon! 🥂💍

They’ll be spending 11 wonderful nights with us, and we wanted everything to be ready the moment they arrive. Their grocery order has already been picked up and stocked, so they can start relaxing the second they walk through the door.

One thing that makes Two Tickets a little different is that for our longer stays, we offer a complimentary mid-stay refresh. About halfway through their vacation, I’ll stop in to sweep, mop, dust, change out linens, and provide fresh towels. It’s one of those little touches that helps keep your vacation feeling like a vacation.

And speaking of little touches, we recently tinted the cottage windows to help keep the space cooler and more comfortable during these warm Caribbean days. We’re hoping our honeymooners notice the difference!

It’s often the small details that make a stay memorable. From grocery pickup and airport transportation to fresh linens and thoughtful upgrades, we’re always looking for ways to make your island getaway just a little easier.

🐦🌺 MEET THE ISLAND’S LITTLE CELEBRITY 🌺🐦

If you’re relaxing on the deck at Two Tickets to Paradise Cottage with your morning coffee, chances are you’ll be visited by one of St. Thomas’ most famous residents—the Bananaquit, affectionately known as the “Sugar Bird.”

This tiny bird with its bright yellow chest is the official bird of the U.S. Virgin Islands and can be found darting between flowers all across the island in search of sweet nectar.

A few fun facts about the Sugar Bird:

🌺 They love hibiscus, bougainvillea, and other flowering plants.
☕ They’re known for being curious and often come surprisingly close to people.
🐦 Despite their tiny size, they’re incredibly fast and energetic.
🏝️ They’re one of the most commonly spotted birds on St. Thomas.

And here’s an old island tale…

Long ago, some islanders believed it was bad luck if a Sugar Bird flew into your home. Fortunately, these little birds seem to bring much more joy than bad luck these days! Most locals now see them as a cheerful symbol of island life and a reminder to slow down and enjoy the beauty around us.

So during your stay, keep your eyes open. You may just spot one of these tiny island ambassadors stopping by to say good morning.
