🌴🍹 DATE NIGHT… ISLAND STYLE. 🍹🌴

You’re on vacation… be adventurous.

Don’t do the same old, “jump in the jeep, drive down the road, have dinner somewhere nice.”

We’ve got a better idea. ❤️

Hop in Black Dog — the Jeep provided by Two Tickets to Paradise Cottage — and head down to Red Hook. Catch the people ferry over to St. John (easy, fun, and part of the adventure). Once you hop off the ferry, take a short walk down to the Lovango Room Bar.

Pro tip: Check their calendar before you go! You’ll often find live music, amazing craft cocktails, incredible vibes, and what we think might just be some of the best pizza around. 🍕🎶🍸

Time it right… arrive before sunset. Grab a seat on the patio, order a cocktail, listen to some music, and watch the Caribbean sunset put on a show.

Now that is what we call Date Night — Island Style.

These are the memories you take home with you…Not just dinner… but the ferry ride, the music, the sunset, the pizza, the cocktails, the adventure.

Here’s how we’d do it…

Hop on the people ferry from St. Thomas to Cruz Bay (easy, fun, and no car needed!). The ride over is part of the adventure… ocean views, salty air, and vacation vibes included.

Once you arrive in Cruz Bay, grab a taxi and head up to The Windmill Bar. Before you go, be sure to check their calendar — they often have live music, and trust us… live music + sunset + island breezes = magic.

Find a seat overlooking those incredible views, order a cocktail, watch the sun melt into the Caribbean, and enjoy a night that feels a little different than your everyday dinner out.

Because you’re on vacation… why not be a little adventurous?

💵🏝️ “Do we need to bring cash?”This is one of the questions we get asked all the time!

The good news? Most restaurants, bars, gift shops, excursions, and businesses on St. Thomas accept credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and other forms of payment.

BUT… our recommendation? Always keep a little cash on hand.

You may run into a cash-only food truck, roadside fruit stand, small vendor, taxi, tip jar, or the occasional “technology is taking an island break” moment. 😎

Our biggest tip?💰 Bring smaller bills — think $1s, $5s, and $10s.Try to avoid large bills whenever possible. Smaller bills make life easier for tipping, quick purchases, and supporting local vendors.

Island life is relaxed… but being prepared makes vacation even smoother.

So yes… cards are widely accepted… but a little cash in your beach bag is never a bad idea! ☀️🌴

Easy! ✈️ STT — that’s your magic code for Cyril E. King Airport, St. Thomas, USVI.

Truth is… there’s not always a magic answer or guaranteed cheap flight to paradise. Some days the airlines make us all question our life choices. 😂

But there are deals out there, and one of our favorite tips we share with guests is:

📍 Check Google Flights!

It’s one of the easiest ways to compare airlines, dates, and pricing all in one place. Just type in STT as your destination and start exploring. Try adjusting your travel dates by a day or two — sometimes leaving on a Tuesday instead of a Saturday can make a surprising difference.

A few tips we tell our guests:

✈️ Be flexible with your dates if possible✈️ Book earlier for peak season travel✈️ Set fare alerts and watch prices✈️ Check nearby airports if you have options✈️ Don’t just look at the ticket price… check baggage fees and flight times too!
