Unclog a drain with 2 household ingredients: white vinegar and baking soda. Pour 1 cup of vinegar down the drain, followed by 1 cup of baking soda. Place drain plug in the sink. After the fizzing has stopped, remove the plug and flush with boiling water.

And remember, as you prepare your Thanksgiving feast, Do NOT pour grease down your drain!

Something my buyer clients often wonder is: "If I'm buying new construction, do I still need a home inspection?" The answer is ALWAYS yes! Even if you are buying a new construction home, you should still get a home inspection within the required timeframe. An inspection is not a pass/fail test and every home will turn up issues, but most of them will be minor. And, if there are any major issues that turn up that doesn't mean that the deal is done -- it just means that we have more work and negotiating to do!
