To owners at Park Lane Townhomes: Our annual budget did not include unexpected costs for this year’s winter storm.
Further, the tornado last year did property damage that was paid out of our available funds because it did not meet the insured deductible.

Both events have put the HOA in a precarious cash shortfall. At present, do not have enough cash to cover this month’s expenses.

Therefore, the board will likely be required to institute a special assessment equivalent to either one or two months dues.

A monthly increase starting in August will also be required going forward to account for the large increases in water costs (rates and usage went up), continued plumbing events, and expected large increases to insurance.

While we lack specifics at this time, please take this into account when planning your personal budget.
