West Dallas has a powerful team in its corner.

For years, Builders of Hope CDC and have worked together to ensure longtime West Dallas families have the tools, resources, and support they need to stay in the community they built.

Last year, 93 West Dallas families received more than $84,000 in property tax assistance, preserving over $24 million in generational wealth for families who have called this neighborhood home for decades.

That work is part of something bigger.

With over 40% of Dallas neighborhoods facing gentrification and displacement pressure, BOHCDC's Right to Stay Anti-Displacement Toolkit equips leaders and policymakers with actionable strategies to protect legacy residents and preserve affordable housing for generations to come.

Join us on Tuesday, June 23 for a community meeting about our latest development featuring 95 single-family workforce homes near Prairie Creek Library and the Dallas County East Dallas Government Center.

Our friends at American National Bank of Texas will lead a financial literacy session covering budgeting, credit, mortgage readiness, and the steps to prepare for homeownership.

Plus, BOHCDC's Hope for Homeownership Center will be on hand to walk families through the full homebuyer process, readiness counseling, and available resources.

A successful evening in Farmers Branch!

On June 4, Builders of Hope CDC hosted a community meeting for The Porches at Valwood Park 2.0, where 70 families learned about our HUD-certified homebuyer process, reviewed floor plans and specifications for the 10 new homes, and heard from BENCHMARK BANK on “Avoiding Predatory Lending and Scams.”
