Now, I’m sharing baby Christian’s Bedroom because someone asked whether we coordinated it with the vanity bathroom (we shared previously) & although I’m not a matchy-matchy designer, I love carrying colors, textures and details from one room into another so everything flows naturally.

That same person also asked “how long did all that take?” & that brings me to one of the most important parts of design: Patience!

As you can see in this video, this didn’t happen overnight.
It didn’t even happen over just a few months. ☺️
Every detail, every decision and every step is part of the process!

Good design takes time & sometimes you have to trust the vision long before you can fully see the finished result. ✨ 🩵

So, what do you do when you have a Jack & Jill bathroom where each kiddo has their own vanity, but you still want the “shared space” to feel cohesive without being too girly or too masculine?

Christian loves his stuffed whales 🤭 and Caroline’s all about Barbie 🫣 so instead of giving them bedroom themed ideas that they loved (which Mom was grateful for) 😆 We created vanity spaces they could call their own, spaces that could grow with them and change out accessories as their tastes do.

For that Bath space (that was in between) We combined both colors 💙🩷💛 and they both have the same exact initials so we incorporated a custom monogrammed shower curtain and towels & with the matching accessories, every detail brings their two spaces together in one fun and colorful design made just for them! 🙌🏼

Because a shared bathroom can still have plenty of individual personality! ✨CMA 😉

A designed space doesn’t have to be complicated or filled with “stuff” to make an impact!

Sometimes it’s simply about clean lines, beautiful proportions, selecting and placing the right pieces that feel warm and intentional that reflect the client’s style and personality! 🤍✨

After all….thats what it’s all about!

Having a great relationship with your contractors is really one of the most important parts of being a designer!
We can see the vision in our heads and know exactly what we want to create, but it takes the “right” hands and the right partnership to bring that vision to life! 🙌🏼

And at times….our designer brains decide to add a little something extra right in the middle of a project… 🤦🏻‍♀️😆

While working on our client’s bathroom wallpaper, I had one of those moments:

Me: “Wait… Maria, do you think we could do the ceiling too?!” 🫣



Then …

Maria: “Absolutely!” 🙌🏼

And THAT is why I love working with people who understand the vision and aren’t afraid to run with it! Besides the fact that she’s a meticulous, perfectionist!
And after 5 yrs of working together, that works for ME! 😉
