📍 State-Thomas
Before the townhomes, the walkable streets, and the Uptown buzz, this was one of Dallas’ First Freedmen’s Towns.
State-Thomas holds deep roots in Black history, Dallas history, and American history. It was built by formerly enslaved people after emancipation. A thriving, self-sustaining community that helped shape this city.
If you live here, walk here, invest here, or just love Dallas… this is worth knowing.
