The wet/moisture stained subsiding found ,in a crawlspace, during an inspection and the deterioration found by the contractor once the siding was removed.

The winter months are an excellent time to have a home inspection performed. Certain conditions are only viewable during cold, wet weather. These phots show condensation dripping from nails in the attic of a 3 year old home. While the evidence of this is present at all times, the condensation is only visible during periods of cold temperatures.

If your attic is anywhere near this hot it has a ventilation problem. Inadequate attic ventilation can lead to several undesirable conditions at your house.

Not too often that I see something that I’ve never seen before...painted roof shingles. That’s a new one! The roofer that came out to bid the job said this was only the second time he’s ever seen this.
