Lennar's own spinoff just became one of its biggest buyers.

Millrose Properties, the land company Lennar spun off in 2025, bought 700+ finished Lennar homes in about a month, roughly $200 million, and listed many of them for rent. In Princeton, Texas, it bought more than 1 in 4 Lennar homes sold since late August.

What's proven vs. what's alleged:
• A shareholder lawsuit was filed Oct. 9 against Millrose and 2 of its executives. Lennar isn't named, and nothing has been decided.
• The outlet that broke the story disclosed it's betting against both stocks.
• Lennar's incentives averaged about 12% last quarter. That's leverage for prepared buyers.

Buying new construction in DFW or Houston? Before you sign, ask how many homes in your section went to investors, read the HOA leasing rules, and compare at least 2 outside lenders.
