I have a handful of restaurants in Dallas that I will go back to over and over again, and KĀ Thai is easily at the top of that list. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m probably here at least once a month.

The space itself is modern, fun and such a vibe, but the food is what keeps me coming back.

They have locations on McKinney Avenue and Walnut Hill, and I love both.

A few things we pretty much always order:

• The ceviche, which is genuinely some of the best I’ve ever had- it's incredible.
• Pad Thai
• Pad Kee Mow
• Fried dumplings
• Papaya salad
• And Vietnamese coffee to finish the meal, always

But this place is also really special to me for another reason. My mom and I used to come here together before she passed away, and now my sister and I have carried on the tradition. There’s something about going back to a place that holds those memories that makes it mean even more.

So yes, I may be a little biased, but I’ve tried plenty of Thai restaurants and nothing has replaced KĀ Thai for me.

If you’re in Dallas and haven’t been yet, add this one to your list. And definitely don’t skip the ceviche or Vietnamese coffee.
