Anyone follow lumber prices lately? Of course you do! It's all the rage to mention how darn high they are, right?

Well, this very minute they are at $779 USD/1000 board feet! Compare that to May 7th when it was $1691 USD/1000 board feet! Definitely moving in the right direction.

There is a grey field where you can report an outtage. It takes a minute to load and you will need your ESI ID number which is on your electric bill. (Mine was towards the bottom of the bill). Once you input that and your zip code, it will tell you your expected restoration time.

This is terrible news for Texas home owners.
If they don’t call a special session to fix this, it will be more important than ever that you get a referral and/or check references on plumbers before they do any work in your home.

Soon anyone will be able to work as a plumber in the state of Texas.

I’ve known April since grade school at St. Bernard’s in East Dallas. When she called me to help with the sale of her Godparents’ lifelong home, I was honored. Over the last two months, I have been awed by her selflessness and dedication to this beautiful couple.
Today was closing day - bittersweet, as they are moving to independent living - but also inspiring to witness their commitment to each other and April’s commitment to them.
This is really the best part of the job - having a front row seat to the lives of people we care about.
April and the Kennedys are definitely the kind of company I wish to be known by.
