Big news out of Denton County this week.
An Ki Land Development went public with Wildhaven Reserve — 740 acres on the north side of Denton combining a private members club, a boutique hotel and spa, and 152 custom homes, with equestrian trails and a 10-acre bass lake. The Dallas Business Journal puts the completed value between $350 and $450 million, with a first phase of 20 homesites already assigned to Noble Classic Homes and Wildhaven-branded resorts to follow in Colorado and Florida.
Here's why it matters. Denton County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Texas, and almost all of that growth looks the same — rooftops and retail. This is a different bet: that people want real land, water and horses within an hour of their office. The first release of a project like this is where the interesting decisions get made.
