This one runs the full spectrum, from the reddest counties in the metro out west to Dallas County going solidly blue. Same method as Part 1: I ranked these by the official 2024 presidential results reported by the Texas Secretary of State, grouped by the county each town sits in.

One honest note, because it matters: these are county level numbers. Nobody publishes a clean city by city vote, so towns in the same county share the county figure. A few cities buck their county hard. Southlake votes far redder than Tarrant County as a whole, and DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, and Cedar Hill vote far bluer than Dallas County’s average. So read this as the county each town belongs to, not the exact street level number.

Whatever matters to you in a community, you deserve the real numbers before you tour, not a vibe.

Which North Texas towns lean red and which lean blue? Here’s what the 2024 numbers actually say. 👇

I ranked 17 towns from most red to least, using the official 2024 presidential results reported by the Texas Secretary of State and county election offices. Out here it’s a spectrum, not a switch. Every town leaned red, but the spread runs from Van Alstyne at 77/22 down to a nearly even 54/43 in fast growing Collin County suburbs like Frisco and McKinney.

Straight talk on the data: these are county level results, because that’s the real reported number. Towns in the same county share the same number. Nobody publishes a clean city by city vote, so anyone claiming exact per town splits is guessing.

This is one of the first questions people ask when they’re relocating, and one they rarely say out loud. Whatever matters to you in a community, you deserve the real numbers before you tour.

Real longhorns walk down East Exchange Ave at 11:30 and 4:00 every single day. It’s the only twice-daily cattle drive in the world. Add slow-smoked BBQ, boot makers, honky-tonks, and Old West history the whole family will love.

🐎 3. Rodeo Night
Two of the best around:
• Stockyards Championship Rodeo (Fort Worth): the world’s only year-round rodeo, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 in the historic Cowtown Coliseum.
• Mesquite Championship Rodeo (“Rodeo Capital of Texas”): PRCA action on summer Saturday nights, 15 minutes from downtown Dallas.
Bull riding, barrel racing, mutton bustin’ for the kids. Pure Texas.

🍷 4. Historic Main Street, Grapevine
Walkable small-town charm with an Urban Wine Trail of Texas tasting rooms, a vintage railroad, and shops and restaurants for days. It flips into the “Christmas Capital of Texas” when the season hits.
