Startups are the closings you remember. $550K in SBA 7(a) financing built out a brand-new auto shop in Texas — eight bays to start, designed for twelve, and a first year rent-free that took real negotiating. Congratulations to the owner.

Thirty years in lighting and semiconductors, and now the business is hers. We closed $2.1M in SBA 7(a) financing for the acquisition of an established holiday and decorative lighting company in Texas.

This is my favorite kind of acquisition: a buyer whose entire career prepared her for the business she bought. The company came with an experienced team that stayed on, year-over-year growth, and a loyal customer base that comes back every season.

Deep industry knowledge is one of the strongest assets a buyer can bring to the table, and lenders notice. If you have spent a career mastering an industry and are ready to own a piece of it, I would love to talk.

Closed $2M in SBA 7(a) financing for a window-treatment manufacturer in New York.

What I like about this one: they started in 2021 selling retail, saw where the real demand was, and rebuilt the business around commercial clients. Hotels, hospitals, senior living. They brought manufacturing in house and kept the supply chain entirely domestic.

The financing did three jobs at once. Bought the building they had been leasing, refinanced existing debt into SBA terms, and left working capital in place to keep up with commercial orders.

That combination is what 7(a) does well and what a lot of owners don't realize is available to them. If you're weighing a building purchase against your working capital needs, you may not have to choose.

After a career built on consumer-products sales leadership, category analytics, and a decade in brand strategy, our client just became an owner. The business: a 36-year-old wholesale produce distributor in New York with hundreds of recurring customers and dozens of local farm partners. $1.3M, SBA 7(a). The move from executive to owner is one of my favorite closings to work on, and this buyer is as prepared as they come.

Congratulations, and welcome to ownership. If you're an executive thinking about making that same move, reach out.

The new owner spent years leading operations in industrial and supply chain businesses and has taken companies through mergers before, so he knows how to step in without missing a beat. The crew that built the shop is staying on to keep it running, and we put the acquisition and working capital together so production never had to slow down. Thank you for trusting T Bank with it.

If you are thinking about buying a business of your own, I am always glad to talk.

The right operator can step into an industry that is new to them when the business is built on organization and discipline. This buyer led complex projects for years and has owned and run companies of his own, so we knew he could carry this one forward. We financed the acquisition of the event business and its affiliate together so he could run them as a single company. Congratulations to the new owner.

When you are ready to look at your own next step, reach out.

If you're writing a rent check every month, you're building someone else's equity. The SBA 504 loan is the rent-replacement play: swap the rent you'll never see again for a mortgage on a building you own — long terms, low fixed rates, and a smaller down payment than most expect.

Curious what that'd look like for your business? Drop a comment or send me a message — happy to run the numbers.

The owners came in already knowing the builders and contractors this business would sell to. We financed the inventory and working capital so they could meet that demand at full speed from the start. Congratulations to the team, and thank you for bringing me along.

If you have the relationships and need capital to act on them, reach out and let's talk.

Most people assume you need 20%+ down for an SBA loan. You don't. Here's what the number actually looks like.
