In this Episode of "I Spent Maybe As Much Time Making This Post As I Did Serving On The Board, 2025 Edition", I bring to you a collection of handwrought ('hand-made'? 'handwrought' sounds much more black-smithy & hammered out, certainly apropos for the quantity of hours spent on stitching this piece together) - ahem - a handWROUGHT collection of photos of our recent Laguna Board of REALTORS Leadership Installation Breakfast this past December, the morning of the 9th. (Second sidebar - I wonder if it would be better if it were a Luncheon?; I suspect a Leadership Dinner might bring even more polish to the affair; note to self - talk to BOD about moving the event into the evening hours; there would be sunset photos at the end and who doesn't love a good sunset?).
Apologies for my Twainian-digressions, dear Reader, I am fond of them and believe someone with a razor-sharp wit such as yours and a keen eye for humor can follow along just fine.
I return to my tale and transition now to the most solemn and hallowed portion of this Social Media Post, most of the text which I could've just copied and pasted from last year's paean to working with the Board, which all still holds true, but shall be typed anew so the bots which serveth up the content sense something afresh at work and ye shall perhaps be able read and enjoy it! Hark now and hear my words!
Serving as President of the Laguna Board of REALTORS in 2025 has been a supreme highlight of my career and I am terribly proud of the work we’ve done for our Members and the community at large - which means you, Dearest Reader, even if you didn't know it! Good real estate policy work doesn't happen magically, it takes people working the switchboard and standing up for good & better things.
Shout out to my LBOR co-Directors, our Staff, our amazing Members & Affiliates and to my Family for all the support over the years - couldn't do it without you!

OLD NEWS ALERT!
Everyone knows you can get NEW news anytime of the day now, but how easy it nowadays to get your hands on some decent OLD news?
I put it to you that Sparkling Fresh Old News is hard to find these days, which is why I am bringing you some barrel-aged old news newly dusted off of my "I-Should've-Posted-That-Three-Months-Ago" shelf.
In this week's edition, we're looking at some drawings I did wayyyyyy back in the way back in February(?) 2025 at the California Association of REALTORS (C.A.R.) Winter Meeting in Indian Wells.
Of course you knew it already, but it bears repeating because I just love the ring of it - I am your illustrious 2025 President of the Laguna Board of REALTORS ayyyy-an-d, as such, also a State Director for C.A.R., which means I get to attend three summits (of a sort) each year where we work on & advocate for policy for our industry, for private property rights and for homeowners, which is just tops - I am absolutely honored to be able to do it for our membership, my clients and my colleagues - what a joy!
A side benefit to being in all these meetings is that sometimes (not all the time), the topics get a little weedy and I can actually focus better on the subtexts of the meetings if I draw a little along the way... somehow it lets me shut out the din of a thousand people (literally) in a room and really hear what presenters are talking about...

Heya! Because the LAST year-end pic collage I posted netted me a chart-topping 5 likes, I thought I'd spend ANOTHER 8 hours making a NEW collage, this time of my installation as 2025 Laguna Board of REALTORS President AND some of our other amazing neighboring Board Presidents... just so, you know, you could catch up... I'm bad at the real-time positing on stuff like this, so you get it all in one batch... ;)
Really though - I'm honored to lead our Board this year and work with some of the brightest people in the business of real estate in the year ahead, advocating for private property rights for our clients, best practices for our agents and, generally, keep the wheels on the bus when it comes to real estate related policy making that impacts our clients, agent members and communities.
