All this talk about Salem Twp data centers, all the money they will bring in, they are buying hundreds if not thousands of acres, homeowners will cash in and buy elsewhere.
But just consider, on all the empty grounds there will be no more houses sold or built, how many less families shopping, going out to restaraunts, attending school, getting jobs in the area, fast forward 20-50 years, how many parcels of property would have been sold to new residents building homes, expanding the population of the area compared to how many people will be working at these data centers.
Most of the concern is about water supplies, noise and electricity, which is a great concern of course, but all of that property will be like the flood plains in the area where no houses can be built, no families to live there and contribute to the local businesses.
Time will tell as it always does, let's hope all of this works out.
