What are the utility bills like in summer and winter? How much is the HOA, and what does it actually cover? Are there planned special assessments? What's the trash schedule, and does everyone follow it? How's the water pressure?

We've seen buyers close on a home and then get blindsided by costs or neighborhood details they never thought to ask about. None of these are dealbreakers on their own, but they add up fast.
