The truth is, real estate was never the plan for me.
I never dreamed of being a Realtor, and it’s not something I ever would have seen myself doing.
I went to school for Social Work because I wanted to help people. I wanted to support people through difficult seasons, connect them to resources, advocate for them, and be a steady presence during times of stress and uncertainty. Medical social work was the plan.
What I didn’t realize then was that real estate would allow me to do many of those same things.
Buying or selling a home is rarely just about a house. It’s often tied to major life changes, big emotions, financial decisions, growing families, job relocations, fresh starts, and sometimes even heartbreak.
Every day, I help people navigate those moments. I listen, problem-solve, connect people to resources, advocate for my clients, and walk alongside them through one of the biggest decisions of their lives.
So no, I don’t work as a social worker, but I do use my Social Work degree every single day. I truly believe my Social Work degree makes me better at what I do. It has taught me how to listen, how to meet people where they are, how to navigate difficult situations, and how to advocate for others when they need someone in their corner. For that, I’m incredibly grateful. ❤️
