⛽️ Get gas in your cars now! If you have a generator, get gas for that, too.
🧺 Wash all your laundry and dishes now
🛁 Fill your tubs with water in case the city pipes get damaged
🥫 Stock food that doesn’t need cooked or chilled
💦 Store bottled water or jugs for drinking and teeth brushing
🩹 Make sure you have a First Aid Kit
🪪 Have copies/photos of important documents
🐶 Have all pet food and supplies in stock
💊 Make sure you have plenty of your medications
⛱️ Secure exterior furniture
🕯️ Gather candles and matches
👋 If you’re uncomfortable staying, leave ASAP; last minute traffic can have you trapped

The Strengthen Alabama Homes program provides grants of up to $10,000 to re-roof to the FORTIFIED standard, lower wind insurance premiums by up to 35%, and increase home value. No income limits.
