With another threat of winter weather on the way, it is a good time to remember the 3 P’s of winter driving. Prepare your vehicle by checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluids, and by carrying an emergency kit in case conditions change quickly. Protect yourself and others by slowing down, increasing following distance, and driving carefully on icy or slick roads. Proceed with caution at all times, especially on bridges, curves, and shaded areas where ice may not be visible. Taking these steps and allowing extra travel time helps keep everyone safer throughout the winter season.
