Disney World Making Progress on Massive New Lands, Including Magic Kingdom Expansion

Disney World’s parks are undergoing a major transformation, with a wave of new attractions on the way. Recent announcements are finally starting to reveal when guests may get their first chance to experience some of the most anticipated additions.

Magic Kingdom has some of the biggest projects on the horizon. The highly anticipated Villains Land will feature a major coaster, and the Cars-inspired Piston Peak National Park will have exciting new attractions as well.

With so many major projects underway, Disney fans have plenty of exciting new experiences to look forward to in the coming years.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure goes down for refurbishment starting November 2, 2026, with no reopening date listed. Critter Co-Op and Tiana's Bayou General are also included in the closure. Full details linked in the comments.

Got me thinking maybe why Emily is such a Disney fanatic and why we like our Disney themed bedrooms at Goofys Golf Getaway. This is how I painted Emily’s nursery some 27 years ago!

Crazy thing is we moved before she was 18 months old so she never really got to see it that much!
