Real estate term of the day: Cooperative
Often referred to as a “co-op”, cooperative housing is a legal term and format for living in a space similar to an apartment or condo building where each person owns a percentage of the total property. It could also be compared to owning stock of a property value. They are most commonly found in densely populated areas.. Co-ops are governed by a board and owners typically have voting rights on issues related to the maintenance and repair of the space. There are also co-ops whose goal is to provide affordable living in which case owners would not experience the benefit of property appreciation that market rate co-ops may have.

If you receive my newsletter, you know I didn't declare hopes for new year, new everything. I reflected on the importance of consistency in relationships and how my own saved me in times when I needed a hand professionally.
Relationships are the reason I continue to keep real estate a priority in my professional life. Over the last nearly twenty years, I have been witness to countless family, friends, and friends of friends realizing their dreams, making hard transitions, and creating a future for their families. There really isn't another job like it. Although I'll always be doing something else in addition to real estate, I sincerely hope I get to be there with you if you'll be making any of these jumps this year. I'm looking forward to a 2024 full of good things for you!
