Snow emergency declared for this evening through Sunday Morning. Please remember to avoid parking on posted snow routes during this time to avoid a potential ticket and tow.
6:30 AM, Monday, December 1) The US National Weather Service Quad Cities Iowa/Illinois is forecasting about 3 more inches of snow beginning around Noon today and continuing into the evening. An alert will be sent to subscribers around 9 a.m. 📢Due to the expected accumulation and ongoing clean-up efforts, the Snow Emergency will be in effect from Noon today through 8 AM on Tuesday, December 2.
Our Snow Team will continue clearing residential streets this morning until the next round of snowfall begins. Once snow returns around Noon, crews will shift back to Posted Snow Routes.
Here’s what you need to know as we head into the day.
⚠Travel conditions will worsen as snow arrives. Give yourself some extra time and drive according to road conditions.
👉All residential streets should receive a pass before new snow arrives. Once snow ends and Posted Snow Routes are clear, the team will return to clearing residential roads.

5:00 PM, Sunday, November 30 The Snow Team expects all residential roads to be cleared by Monday morning, just before another round of snow is expected to arrive. Please keep vehicles off residential roads to help crews clear these roads safely and efficiently – and prevent you from being plowed in.
❗❄ Another 2–4 inches of snow is likely starting mid-day Monday through the evening, according to the National Weather Service. If you haven’t cleared your sidewalks yet, now is a great time to do so before the next snowfall.

3:30 PM, Saturday, November 29 | Hang in there, everyone! We’re expecting 5 to 6 more inches of snow before things start to taper off after 10 p.m. tonight. Look for another update tomorrow morning as crews shift operations to residential roads.
🚗Continue to keep vehicles off Posted Snow Routes through 9 a.m., Sunday, November 30. On all other roads, plan to park off-street on Sunday to help crews clear roads more safely and efficiently - and to avoid being plowed in.
⚠ Road conditions will remain difficult through Sunday. Give yourself extra time and use caution if you must travel. Blowing and drifting overnight could result in recovering of roads, especially in open areas.
This has been a heavy, wet snow. Be sure to take breaks and hydrate while clearing sidewalks.
❗Windrow back onto sidewalks and driveways is unavoidable with this amount of snow, especially where boulevards are narrow. Find tips to reduce windrow into driveways at www.davenportiowa.com/winter.
