Please be aware of this ongoing situation in our area. Nearly all of the cars that have been targeted have had valuables (wallet/backpack/laptop/purse) sitting in plain view. Please secure your belongings and try not to be a target for thieves.

Since March began, just 11 short days ago, there have already been 7 reported vehicle burglaries in the area known to us as Beat 1. (shown in photo)

Items taken include backpacks, electronics, clothing and sports equipment.

While we are doing extra patrols in the area, we would also recommend making sure you leave nothing in your vehicle to lure the criminals.
