Sounds scary, doesn’t it?

That’s exactly what some media headlines would have you believe!

But here’s what those dramatic headlines often leave out. 👇

📊 LET’S LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE!

🏠 2010: 2.87 MILLION properties with foreclosure filings.

🏠 2019: 493,000 properties with foreclosure filings.

🏠 2026: Approximately 455,000 projected.

✅ That’s 84% BELOW the peak in 2010!

✅ Even BELOW pre-pandemic levels in 2019!

Are foreclosures increasing from recent lows? Yes. But does that mean we’re heading for another 2008 housing crisis? Absolutely not based on these numbers alone.

The media loves a scary headline because FEAR GETS CLICKS!

But percentages without context can paint a very misleading picture.

As a real estate professional, I believe people deserve the FULL story, not just the part that makes the most dramatic headline.

Don’t let sensational headlines shape your understanding of the housing market. Look at the facts, understand the trends, and keep things in perspective!

🏡✨ SOLD IN DAVISON! ✨🏡

Some homes capture your attention long before you ever step through the front door—and this was one of those homes for me.

For years, this has been one of my favorite houses in the City of Davison. Every time I drove past it, I thought, “Wow, what a beautiful home.” At Christmastime, it looked as though it belonged in a Hallmark movie. It was always meticulously cared for and filled with incredible character.
