Today, our six original buildings, which once housed businesses such as Lowe Brothers Paint, Boscul Coffee, Barney & Smith Car Co., and Keogh & Rike Parchment Paper, have been combined into two buildings featuring industrial-style loft apartments above retail businesses at street level. Combined with professional on-site management and maintenance, these features make Cannery a favorite community to call home in downtown Dayton.

We love planning monthly events for our residents, and today we had the opportunity to give back at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton

Our residents truly showed up in the best way—not only by volunteering their time with the animals, but also by going above and beyond during our supply drive. Thanks to their generosity, we were able to donate a large amount of much-needed items, including food, blankets, and other essentials.

It’s always rewarding to see our residents come together for a meaningful cause. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a difference for animals in need.

This is what life at Cannery is all about—creating meaningful experiences, building connections, and staying engaged with the greater Dayton community.

The Boscul floor plan is named after the Boscul Coffee Company, which once operated right here at Cannery.

In the 1930s, Boscul packaged peanut butter in floral drinking glasses that became collectible household favorites. What started as unique packaging became vintage treasure.

With 1,141 square feet, this two-bedroom, two-bath apartment feels more like a townhome than a traditional apartment. You enter through your own laundry and mudroom space, then head upstairs to the main living area — giving you separation, privacy, and no upstairs neighbors.
