Congrats to Seth and Lauren on buying their first house today! My wife and I had the pleasure of attending their wedding back in the spring so clearly they’ve had a crazy year (that wedding was a blast btw). Then, a month or so after they got back from their honeymoon I got a text from them wanting to look at houses, and then BOOM, by September they are homeowners! These two are clearly crushing 2026!
I’m extremely thankful for both of them and the way they serve at our church together. Whether it’s kids ministry, women’s ministry or left handed puppetry ministry, Seth and Lauren are quick to jump in and serve. I can’t wait to see how these two use their new house in the Creek to minister to their new neighbors!

Congrats to my friend Daniel on selling his house. This one makes me less than excited because I already feel the hole left in our community by Daniel since he moved to Japan last week. We’ve been serving together at church for the last 5 years and that time was incredible. I can hardly think of a guy I’ve worked with in ministry over the last 20+ years that was more willing to jump in and help with whatever anyone needed at the drop of a hat. He will be so missed! However, we are excited to see what is done through him as he moves to Japan to help with a church plant and go on a great new adventure. Happy trails brother!

Oh - and sadly due to a delayed closing we didn’t get a closing table picture. So sharing one from Daniel in his element in the media booth!

Congratulations to our friends Hudson and Kara on purchasing their first house! Anna and I couldn’t be happier for these two taking this step in their life together - mainly because (selfishly), it means we get to keep them in Dayton for the foreseeable future! These two have become very special to our family as I’ve gotten to serve with Hudson on the band at church, and last summer Anna and Kara worked countless hours together planning VBS. We are so grateful for them, and just excited as they jump in to home ownership!

Hudson and Kara: I can’t wait to witness all the ways you use your new home as a lighthouse to love on your new neighbors. And, Lord willing, a few months from now we will watch an OSU/ND national title game together in your new basement!

Congrats to Shannon and Ben closing on their first home! It’s always exciting when I get to help young couples buy their first home together, but it’s even better when it’s someone I already know! We met Shannon several years ago at Centerville Christian Fellowship church and she was one of the first people to take care of my oldest son in his early nursery days. For any parent that’s gone through putting your first baby in nursery for the first time, these people feel more like angels as they help you navigate it.
Since then my family left to plant a new church and Shannon stayed at CCF, met Ben, and got married. I loved getting to work with them and help them dream about what their first home could be and figure out how to get one that could fit their needs!

Ben and Shannon: I’m so grateful that I got the chance to serve you guys in this process and I am excited to hear all the stories of how your family grows into this amazing new home!
