Artemis I, you are going to the Moon!

NASA is returning to the lunar surface to not only create a long-lasting presence on the Moon and eventually Mars, but to unlock new scientific discoveries, and inspire the next generations of space explorers —The Artemis Generation.

Through Artemis missions, NASA will land the first woman and the first person of color on the Moon, paving the way for a long-term lunar presence and serving as a steppingstone to send astronauts to Mars.

This restaurant is walking distance from our Condo on Daytona Beach.

MAJOR congratulations to the Shores’ beloved Millie's Restaurant & Catering – it’s being featured on the hit show, “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” at 9pm Friday, Sept. 16! Celebrity chef Guy Fieri & his Food Network crew filmed the episode of the popular show at Millie’s in late June. We can’t wait to see the restaurant, owners Chris and Amy Chibbaro and their staff, and our city in spotlight!

Congratulations also goes out to Millie’s for two major awards from Yelp. The restaurant was recently named one of the Top 100 Restaurants in Florida (out of 41,000 choices) and, last year, Millie’s was 8th in Florida for the Top 25 Seafood Restaurants statewide.

We are of Millie’s. Thank you, Chris and Amy, for providing our residents and visitors with awesome dishes using fresh, local ingredients! We're so happy you are in the City of Daytona Beach Shores.

After enjoying the beach, leave nothing behind. Fill in your sandcastle holes to make it easy for baby sea turtles to reach the ocean. And always swim in front of a lifeguard.

Today we have spotted some Blue Button Jellyfish washing into shore. It’s official marine name is Porpita Porpita. If you come in contact with one of these creatures, do not touch it. They are usually painless but can cause irritation of the skin. Blue Buttons typically move with the winds, currents and tides. They usually wash ashore on beaches during the summer months.
