NASCAR is heading back to Daytona for a special Veterans Day race.

The Proud To Honor Veterans Day Classic will take place November 11, just three days after the Cup Series championship.

Twelve drivers, including Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski, will compete in six teams representing the six branches of the U.S. military, driving identical Mustang Dark Horse R cars.

And it won’t just be racing Zac Brown Band will headline the event.

The exhibition race will also raise money for organizations supporting military members, veterans and their families.

The public is invited to a developer-initiated neighborhood meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at 518 N. Halifax Ave., Daytona Beach.

The meeting will discuss a request by the law firm Cobb Cole, on behalf of Saroj Kasturi and Quantum Tree Music Studios, LLC, for a rezoning from RP Residential Professional to BR-2 Business Shopping Center (DEV2026-341) and a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the future land use designation from Office Transition to Retail (DEV2026-342) for properties located at 518 & 528 N. Halifax Ave.

The owner intends to operate a music studio at 518 N. Halifax Ave. and a retail drum store at 528 N. Halifax Ave., both featuring educational programs, seminars, workshops and experimental clinics.
