We are now hiring new full-time team members in Daytona Beach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Assess work sites and determine what needs to be done to complete the remodel work.
*Perform various carpentry tasks that include installing cabinets, hanging doors, and framing rooms.
*Replace plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and faucets.
*Hang, repair, and replace drywall as needed for new and existing rooms.
*Install floors, including wood floors, carpeting, concrete, tile and other flooring types.
*Follow building codes as set forth by city, county, and state laws.
*Repair existing property elements when possible.
*Replace light fixtures and ceiling fans.
*Clean up job sites during and after remodeling work.

Skills and Qualifications:

Applicants must be diligent, reliable have good communication skills. Other requirements include:

· Mechanical skills – use a variety of tools and perform many different tasks that include carpentry, plumbing, and light electrical work.

· Physical ability – use physical ability to work with their hands and perform many tasks that require squatting, standing, and bending for hours at a time.

· Attention to detail – because different aspects of remodeling work depend upon each other to function properly and look good, you must pay close attention to ensure that all work is performed well and correctly.

· Multi-tasking – as you will be performing work on different projects and rooms while using a vast variety of remodeling skills, multi-tasking is an essential component of the job.

Other requirements

· 4+ years of experience in residential remodeling

· Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and insurance

· Own tools and equipment

Before installing rigid flooring you need to determine if your substrate is flat and even. Any areas which dip need to be remedied before you apply any new flooring over the top. You can find these dips using a marble and a level.

Once identified, you need to determine the underlying cause. Sagging areas are usually caused by settling of the subflooring over time, which isn’t a serious problem.

However you must check to make sure there’s not a more serious underlying issue. If possible, get into the crawl space and look for any foundation problems like rotted or cracked bearers or joists. Also look for any evidence of termites. If you see any underlying issues like this, you’ll probably need take more serious action.

If there are no structural issues and there are only minor dips, you can even the floor out with a self-levelling compound. This product is very simple to use. You mix the powder with water to form a slurry, then pour it into the affected area and spread. It’s self levelling so there’s little skill required for this job. 48 hours later, your new flooring is ready to lay.
