A little bit late on this post, but I had the opportunity to moderate a panel we hosted at West Volusia Association of REALTORS general membership meeting last week where we talked about going GLOBAL 🌍

Everyone had the chance to get an incredible lesson in all the things you need to protect your clients, the transaction, and your reputation when dealing with international real estate buyers or sellers.

We learned the importance of keeping on top of the exchange rate, why an ITIN number is needed, how our MLS has resources for global transactions, and what the heck FIRPTA is....

All in all, one of the best presentations we've been privileged to have.

Huge thank you to the panelists who dedicated their time to our event, and another huge thank you to the WVAR staff who make this all possible!

A judge just called out Florida's Amendment 3 ballot language for what it is... misleading.

It's headed back to the drawing board before it can appear on your November ballot.

The amendment itself isn't going anywhere; the wording just has to be honest.

Did you see this story? Daytona Beach is spending over $1 million to fix sidewalks in a brand new neighborhood because they were built sloping toward the homes instead of away from them.

Standing water, slip-and-falls, the whole deal.

New construction can be great, but brand new does not mean problem-free. This is why having someone in your corner who knows what to look for matters before you sign anything.

We're already 4 million homes short.

Now lumber and drywall cost more before the foundation is even poured.

eXp just rolled out “coming soon” listings that are being pushed to multiple platforms… but not Zillow.

Zillow has been saying this kind of marketing hurts consumers.

So if that’s true… why aren’t they part of it?

There’s a bigger shift happening right now around who controls listings and where buyers actually go to find homes. Curious to see how this plays out.
