February in review. 🏡

I had the privilege of helping four families last month through buying and selling their homes, and I’m so grateful to be part of these important moments in people’s lives.

This closing was an extra special one for me! It was my first listing right here in the heart of the place I am blessed to call home, Lake Helen.

When I first connected with the seller, the home was not listed on the MLS and there were no open houses scheduled. I asked if I could host a few open houses to help bring more traffic through, and they graciously said yes. After showing the value I could bring to the table, I asked if they would consider listing the home with me and giving me the opportunity to help get it sold.

We had great traffic and plenty of interest, but the feedback from buyers was consistent. The wallpaper and some needed painting were holding buyers back. I recommended that we temporarily take the home off the market, complete those minor updates, and then relist it.

Sure enough, once the home went back on the market with the improvements, it went under contract within a week.

I am so grateful that the seller trusted me through the process. It was truly an honor to help a local neighbor sell their home and move on to the next chapter of their life.

This closing was extra special. 🏡

Katelynn and Owen reached out to ask if I could help them find a home. We started their search, but nothing really stood out at first. Then a house hit the market and within hours we were there for a showing. The next day we submitted an offer, and just like that we were under contract.

What makes this one even more meaningful is that these are people I know and care about. Katelynn has served alongside me in kids ministry for the past couple of years. Being trusted to help them through such an important decision and life milestone was truly an honor.

Helping people find not just a house but a place to call home will never get old. Seeing the excitement and happiness that comes with this process brings me so much joy, and it is not something I take for granted.

Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure are just a short drive away, and it is something many people do not realize when they are thinking about moving here.

It is not only the theme parks. It is the lifestyle, the spontaneous weekend plans, and the little moments that make living in this area so fun.

One of the things I love most about Lake Helen is how strong the sense of community is here.

This past weekend I hosted a Pizza + Bingo Night in Lake Helen, and it was such a fun evening. Seeing kids laughing, neighbors meeting each other, and everyone enjoying a simple night together was really special. 🍕

Moments like this are what make small towns like Lake Helen so special.

We held the event at Honey + Clay Collective, one of our local craft studios that offers arts and crafts classes for all ages. If you're looking for something fun to do in Lake Helen or around Volusia County, it’s definitely a place worth checking out. Supporting local businesses is part of what keeps our community so great.
